We believe that the most effective care and education of children requires regular and open communication between parents and teachers. Teachers record information on details of each child's day to share with parents. Student evaluations are done twice a year in the toddler through pre-k rooms. If you have particular concerns about your child's development or their care, you may request a conference at any point in the year. The Director is also available as needed.
Holiday List
The Children’s Center is open year-round including the summer months and all public-school vacation weeks. We follow the Wakefield Public School closures for snow, and the center may also delay the opening or close early to ensure a safe commute home for all.
At CCW, we celebrate holidays with the children by doing special crafts or cooking activities. We are closed for one professional development day a year; it is always the Friday before Mother’s Day. We are closed for the following major holidays; Labor Day, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday, Christmas Eve and Day, New Year’s Day, MLK Jr. Day, Patriots Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, and the 4th of July.

CCW invites parents to become involved in our program. All of us at CCW value parental involvement in the life of the Center. We strive to create an atmosphere that encourages communication. Your ideas, questions, concerns, and support are important.
